working in their home. Position Title: Senior Director of
OperationsOverview: The Senior Director of Operations is
responsible for the administration of internal operational
activities of the property including maintenance of facilities and
grounds, Resident Services (which includes security,
transportation, spa/salon, front desk/concierge and EVS),
Information Technology, Communications and Dining Services. In
addition, this position works with the Executive Director in the
oversight of the company's infrastructure, financial performance
and operational projects. This position reports to the Executive
Director.Essential Job Functions:
- Oversees all aspects of the following departments: Facilities,
Resident Services, Dining Services, IT and Communications. Works
with department leaders to ensure high resident satisfaction,
operational excellence, budget compliance and associate engagement.
Reviews and evaluates existing operational programs, services,
policies, and procedures. Works with Senior Director of Health
Services to ensure services and operations are performed in
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws
(i.e. AHCA, State Health Department, EPA, OSHA, ADA, and
others).
- Develops, recommends, and implements or guides implementation
of new and/or modified programs, services, policies and procedures
to improve community operations and/or service excellence.
- In collaboration with the Director of Innovation and Technology
and the Corporate Director of IT, develop and maintain the strategy
of information technology for the company.
- Works in collaboration with other senior leaders to effectively
maintain and execute the disaster recovery plan.
- Develops and establishes operating policies consistent with
Executive Director's directives and company objectives. Appraises
and evaluates the results of overall operations.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Health Services,
performs regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory,
safety, and quality standards.
- Lead productivity improvement initiatives that enhance the
operations department's effectiveness and efficiency.
- Works with SFSL Accounting department to prepare, analyze and
achieve results in accordance with the annual operational
budget.
- Coordinates expenditures with department heads to ensure
efficient budgeting process is complied with throughout the fiscal
year.
- Manage capital project requests from department managers and
maintain records throughout the year to ensure projects are
approved, completed, and expensed appropriately.
- Participates in the development and preparation of short-term
and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization
goals and objectives. Works with Executive Director on approval
implementation.
- Manage the selection of vendor services and products related to
operations and monitors their performance to ensure adherence to
contractual provisions, job schedules and regulatory
specifications.
- Monitors Operations associate work performance and oversees
performance management process to ensure all responsible department
managers are compliant.
- Stays abreast of new industry trends, systems, equipment, and
materials to ensure optimal efficiencies and standards.
- Requires rotating weekend on call duty as member of management
team.
- Collaborates with affiliate and parent organizations in
community operations projects and initiatives.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and company
information.
- Respond to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of
residents when needed.
- Represent the organization through professional demeanor and
attitude.
- Provide quality customer service in all interactions with
residents, guests and staff.
- Perform other duties as required.You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or associate degree in Business
Administration preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years management experience in area facility
operations, and/or dining services, preferably in a multi-site
residential, health care or hospitality setting.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience.We Have:
