Rate of Pay: $121,514
Duties: Design rail signaling solutions for interlocking, ATP and
CBTC systems (primarily wayside with on-board 1 carborne design
consideration). Interpret and incorporate relevant standards and
customer requirements into system architectures. Create, review,
and release system specifications and other engineering
documentation related to the signaling systems. Take ownership of
the design, architecture, documentation, and function of signaling
systems. Support test and commissioning, production, and
manufacturing teams. Integrate signaling systems into rail
vehicles. Work on technical coordination with other stakeholders
including installation planning, electrical and mechanical
engineering, fire protection, etc. Support static and dynamic field
testing as well as wayside and on-board testing.
Requirements: Employer will accept a bachelor's degree, or foreign
equivalent, in Engineering (any) or related field and 60 months of
experience in the job offered or in a Project Engineer- related
occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
1. Leading teams for mass transit railroad projects and signaling
systems.
2. Developing system design solutions or railway and SCADA
systems.
3. Working with design and integration of PLC Systems (Simatic
S7).
4. Planification and execution of installation, testing, and
commissioning activities for interlocking systems including its
subcomponents (axle counters, point machines, and signals) and CBTC
(Balise, onboard, and Airlink).
5. Integration and functionality of project subsystems related to
Interlocking and Onboard Signaling systems, specifically CBTC
(TGMT).
6. Work with project teams, individuals, and subcontractors to meet
project schedules and budget.
7. Leading and supporting bid teams for activities related to
signaling projects.
Telecommuting may be permissible pursuant to company policies. 20%
domestic and international travel is required. [Hybrid Role]
