Manager Job Summary We are seeking a Marine Property Control
Manager to be responsible for managing and maintaining
accountability of all marine property assets, including equipment,
materials, and supplies for the company's vessels and operations.
This role involves overseeing inventory management, property
tracking, procurement, and ensuring compliance with government and
company regulations. Marine Property Control Manager
Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate inventory of property and assets, ensuring
proper documentation and accountability in line with company
standards.
- Develop and implement property control policies, procedures,
and systems to ensure the proper handling, storage, and movement of
assets.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to coordinate the
acquisition, receipt, and distribution of marine equipment and
supplies.
- Conduct regular property audits and inspections to verify
inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with internal and external
regulations, including those related to government contracts.
- Ensure timely and efficient maintenance, repair, and
replacement of equipment to support vessel operations, working
closely with the maintenance and operations teams.
- Manage surplus property disposal processes, ensuring compliance
with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, project managers, and contractors
to ensure that the necessary property and equipment are available
for operations and projects.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions related to
property control, including purchases, transfers, disposals, and
repairs.
- Provide regular reports on asset management, inventory levels,
and property status to senior management and other
stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) and
other relevant government property management regulations when
applicable. Marine Property Control Manager Position Requirements
- 5 years of experience in property management, focusing on the
lifecycle of movable assets.
- Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM): The candidate
must hold CPPM certification, which ensures a recognized standard
of competence in property management.
- Training in Lifecycle Management: Completion of at least 40
hours of specialized training in the lifecycle management of
movable property
- Proven ability to draft and implement procedures related to
property lifecycle management, including documentation and
operational improvements.
- Experience in performing audits of property control systems,
with an ability to identify inefficiencies or compliance
issues.
