Overview

FTE: .10Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PMDays of Week: - SUNDAY-SATURDAY***PRN COMPENSATION RATE***UF Health Therapists provide rehabilitation services in the Acute setting, working to create and customize the best course of treatment for conditions that limit a patient's ability to move, be active, communicate, swallow, and complete daily tasks and activities. Our skilled team strives to maximize physical performance, while addressing cognitive and psychosocial components of care to achieve the best functional outcomes. The UF Health Shands Children's Hospital is located in the North Tower and provides service to patients from neonate up to older peds. Units include general pediatrics, NICU, PICU and PCICU. -
Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors or higher as designated by professional license
  • New graduates welcome
  • Experience or fieldwork in the acute setting preferred
  • Inpatient/outpatient pediatric feeding/swallowing experience preferred (ages 0-18)
  • Pediatric MBS/FEES experience preferred
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others and work as a teamLicensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida. -Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver'
