Preferred Qualifications

?5+ years experience in an IT Organization with specialization in infrastructure, server environments, or other related technical areas.

?4+ years of experience in a Linux network environment ? SUSE, RHEL, etc.

?Prefer certifications in Linux ? SUSE, RedHat, and Comptia certifications are an added advantage.

?Extensive application support experience.

?Microsoft Experience is a plus

?Organizational and interpersonal skill is a plus

?Must have excellent written and verbal communications skill sets.

Linux Administrator

Linux Administrator, - Linux (server, networking, clustering, etc.) and some PostgresSQL/MySQL

Position Responsibilities:

?The incumbent will have a core concentration on the Linux Enterprise Server infrastructure, with a focus on server and application virtualization in VMware.

?Manage Linux environments for Server, Clustering, and PostgreSQL.

?Candidates will possess system expertise in the areas of design, configuration, implementation, and administration to effectively support and grow these technologies.

?Participates in the planning, implementation, and review processes for new and existing systems and storage, where applicable.

?Responsible for managing individual projects assigned and team collaborative projects.

?Establishes, maintains, and monitors system access and security in order to safeguard company data.

?Coordinate resolution of production system/server issues. Perform initial research and diagnostics of system/server issues and log issues in ticketing system to facilitate timely resolution.

?Works closely with other groups to coordinate plans and activities, including coordination to facilitate specific development projects that involve systems, as well as the coordination of software upgrades and installation of software patches.

?Ensure that all projects maintain and track to an approved timeline.

?MUST work well both independently, and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

?Monitoring web/application logs for identification of operational issues.

?Document/report identified issues for troubleshooting by DBA/Development

?Assist the Support Analysis team by providing various technical information as needed
