Job Description:
This position is responsible for responding to customer requests
and identifying, isolating and resolving incidents with information
system products and services. The Technical Support Technician II
works under general supervision to provide optimal solutions in
meeting customer needs. The focus of the work is to identify and
resolve technical problems in a timely and accurate manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL, BASIC AND
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION. THESE FUNCTIONS ARE NOT TO BE
CONSTRUED AS AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES,
AND SKILLS REQUIRED.
o Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in
accordance with the client's core values, ethics, and information
protection policies
o Work with corporate customers in the resolution of technical
issues
o Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments and prioritize
workload
o Keep abreast of emerging technologies
o Recognize, identify, isolate and resolve problems with
information system products and services
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
" Strong knowledge of various user application packages
o Knowledge and experience of specific operating systems, networks
and platforms
o Skill in oral and written communications
o Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems quickly
o Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem
resolution
o Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and
technical staff to resolve problems
o Demonstrated customer service orientation and focus
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
o High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
AND
o 2 or more years of experience providing technical support
relevant to position in an enterprise environment
o A+ Certification
o MCDST or MCITP: Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Associates Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or
related field OR 2 years of relevant experience OR a combination of
education and relevant work experience equivalent to 2 years
o MCDST or MCITP: Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
