Job Description:
The eCommerce Web Designer will be responsible for creating,
implementing, and managing all creative elements on client?s
website or any related web properties. The designer will produce
both flat and interactive assets for our websites with an emphasis
on overall branding, home, category, and landing page refreshes,
new micro site templates, email assets and other special projects
as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Partner with the eCommerce Merchandise team to plan out messaging
and align creative work ahead of delivery times.
Provide quick turnaround of marketing assets including daily
emails, landing pages, homepage updates, promotions, display/
affiliate marketing banners, face book/twitter support, mobile site
content.
Responsible for projects from concept through implementation -
including graphic design, creating prototypes/mock-ups,
development, coding, testing, and debugging.
Implement the vision of the online experience; including design,
informational architecture & brand identity, ensuring consistency
across the entire visual presentation.
Work collaboratively with eCommerce and Marketing colleagues, as
well as third party and other key stakeholders to capture design
requirements and translate them into design solutions that drive
business results.
Upgrades, maintains and provides ongoing advanced design of the
website, promos, and advertising banners as well as seasonal
content that are visually compelling and brand appropriate.
Ability to lead creative projects and brings them from concept to
completion.
Requirements/Experience:
High level of proficiency with the following programs & languages:
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML/DHTML, CSS,
JavaScript, AJAX
Firm understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility,
and image optimization techniques
Elegant graphic, typography and web design skills with interactive
design experience
Superior attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple
projects are crucial.
Prior online web design experience. Strong knowledge/background
related to web creative and associated concepts.
Detailed understanding of the Internet as it relates to working
with an enterprise level eCommerce website.
Experience with content management systems.
