Job Description:
This Cloud Engineer Position Features:
? 4 weeks vacation
? 401K match up to 7%
? Bonus in addition to Base
? Great Pay to $105K (depending on experience)
The Cloud Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for the
configuration, deployment, administration, monitoring, analysis,
and support of Cloud (Public/IaaS) application services and
systems. The applications and services run on 24x7 mission
critical, high-availability systems with data replication and
disaster recovery across multiple availability zones and regions.
As a cloud architect you will be an essential part of an
infrastructure team that provides transformational, secure,
architectural and engineering services for various business group
applications. This technical and transformation focused position
will formulate cloud migration strategies, designs solutions, and
provide support as the technology landscape quickly transforms to
take advantage of new cloud technologies. Additional areas of
responsibility include process development, automation design and
implementation, documentation, participation in technology
roadmaps, mentoring operational staff and ongoing evaluation of new
technology. Responsible for design of the platform, system and/or
enterprise architectures to enable Cloud configuration. Working
closely with our teams to enable successful execution of critical,
strategic engagements
Cloud (Public/IaaS) Architecture and Design (50%)
Cloud (Public/IaaS) Administration and Monitoring (25%)
Linux Systems and Security Administration (15%)
Cross Training Departmental Team Members (5%)
Minimum Qualifications:
Eight (10) Years Linux experience. They must be high-level subject
matter expert with multiple distro?s (RHEL, CentOS, etc), Apache,
MySQL, Tomcat, OpenVZ, VMware, Chef, Puppet
Five (8) Years? Experience of Linux Administration in an Enterprise
Environment
Two (2) Years? Experience with Amazon AWS, Force.com or Rackspace
Architecture and Administration
Five (5) Years? Experience in system administration in a 24X7
environment
Experience designing Cloud-based solutions that vary in size and
complexity from leading Cloud providers such as AWS, Google,
Microsoft, etc
Expert level knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), or equivalent
cloud vendors, and PaaS architectures.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or similar technical
field; or 10 years of equivalent directly related experience
