Job Description:
Develops business relationships and interacts with other
departments, i.e., Security, Database Administrators, WES team,
etc.
Provides input to scope, sizing, and time estimates time required
to complete projects
Effectively translates specification documents and business
requirements into program code
Creates or modifies system code encompassing simple to complex
system design and platforms
Ensures code complies with BCBSF architectural, SDLC, and MAR
standards
Create, modify, and interpret application design specification
documents from which code will be written
Perform Unit testing and prepare application(s) for the Systems &
UAT testing leads
Analyze defects found in testing and make required code corrections
and enhancements
Assist with, respond to, and resolve production support
issues/problems as required
As needed, interface with external vendors and customers through
crosswalk mapping with different and often complex architecture
Build and implement automation solutions using
frameworks/architectures and security models provided by the
Development Lead
Author, deploy, and support automation solutions from business
requirements including both simple and complex solutions
Serve as tier 2 level contact for production support, triage, and
maintenance issues
Job Requirements: **This is a 6 month contracto to hire position.
This a backfill. The manager is seeking candidates that can start
within two weeks of an offer.
Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science or equivalent work
experience
A minimum of 4 years' experience coding and documentation protocol
as well as unit testing, change management and release
procedures.
Solid working knowledge and experience of System Development Life
Cycle, product development methodologies, database methodologies
and system integration
Demonstrated solid knowledge and experience with:
Business Process Automation
Writing SQL
Supporting and understanding technical systems
Developing code in .Net, C#, MS Visual Studio
Writing Java, JavaScript, VBA, VB Script
Active use of AGILE or Waterfall SDLC Methodologies
Use of XML, HTML, Web Services, & Windows APIs (SOAP, etc?)
