Position Description:




The Kern National Network (KNN) for Flourishing in Medicine seeks to hire a motivated, collaborative, and professional Grants Operations Coordinator who coordinates the pre-award planning, organization, and preparation, and the post-award administration of various grants on behalf of the KNN. The Grants Operations Coordinator interacts with investigators and administrative staff to ensure that grants are in compliance with regulatory, funding agency, and policy requirements and provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities.Responsibilities:

  • Assists administrative staff and research team in the creation, negotiation, and administration of grants, contracts, and research proposals and with pre-award applications.
  • Coordinates the grant process from development and submission to the post-award stage.
  • Ensures compliance with sponsor terms, MCW policies/procedures, and federal regulations.
  • Assists with grant writing.
  • May consolidate sources of information to ensure application document requirements are complete.
  • Ensures compliance with grant guidelines, budgets, and stipulations.
  • Identifies funding sources and administers grant budgets.
  • Supports subcontracting with partner institutions and monitors sub-awards.Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
    • Knowledge of pre and post award grant process, sponsor requirements, funding mechanisms, computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management.
    • Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, mathematics, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, systems analysis, operations analysis, writing, active listening, and active learning skills.















      Preferred Schedule:




      Fully Remote. Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.















      Position Requirements:




      Minimum Qualifications:
      Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
      Minimum education: Bachelor's degree
      Minimum experience: 4 years of related experience; preferred grants writing and project coordination/management in medical, research or educational environment#LI-NK1
