Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Seafood Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Jacksonville. This role is responsible for ordering and merchandising seafood products, ensuring accurate inventory levels and implementing purchasing and promotions strategies.Key Responsibilities

• Product Ordering and Inventory Management
  • Replenish seafood products through proper buying procedures.
  • Monitor and act upon open PO reports for both purchases and credits.
  • Control spoilage/shrink and achieve turn goals.
  • Merchandising and Display
    • Oversee customer special order procedure.
    • Participate in organizing and developing promotional displays.
    • Quality Control and Customer Service
      • Analyze and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage.
      • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment.
      • Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely and effective manner.Requirements
        • Comprehensive knowledge of seafood products.
        • Strong basic math skills.
        • Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and ordering systems.
        • Effective communication and teamwork skills.Working Conditions
          • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
          • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
