Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Facility Emergency
Department Coder (Full-Time Temporary).
Key Responsibilities:
Code all diseases in the Emergency Department according to
ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines
Maintain productivity levels and accuracy of diagnosis code
assignments per client policies
Stay updated on coding policies and regulatory changes, and
communicate these to the Coding Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
AHIMA credentials: RHIT, RHIA, or CCS required
Minimum of 3 years recent Emergency Department coding
experience
Knowledge of ICD-10 Outpatient Coding principles
Experience with 3M Encoder and EPIC EMR system
Ability to maintain production of 12 CPH
